Alicia Tetteh is the Owner of Building Endurance PLLC and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in individual, couples and family therapy, and maintains a private practice in Charlotte, NC. She also teaches in a Master of Social Work program for Simmons College, UNC Charlotte and Winthrop University. With a number of years experience as a child and family therapist in Washington, DC; Brooklyn, NY; and Los Angeles, CA-- she has specialized in trauma related and severe mental illness. Among her areas of expertise are clients impacted by HIV/AIDS, homelessness, trauma, PTSD, substance use, thought disorders, and parenting support.

Her therapeutic approach is to provide support from a strengths-based perspective and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. She received her Bachelor of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and her Master of Social Work from Howard University. Alicia has been trained in the evidenced based practices of Family Centered Treatment, Motivational Interviewing, Seeking Safety, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Focused Therapy, Crises Oriented Response, Positive Parenting Program and Managing and Adapting Practices. She holds membership with the National Association of Social Workers.
